Install Kitchen Cabinets By Making Sure They Are Level

Install Kitchen Cabinets By Making Sure They Are Level

To obtain the very best results, make a trip to your local rental store and rent a laser level for the day. You will find that the laser level is going to give you the optimum results when it comes to a level line to start the install.

It only takes a few minutes to set it up, and after you have transferred the laser line on the walls, you are ready to get started. This is when you can go around the corners of the walls and mark the level line locations.

After this step is complete, you will need to use a chalk line to snap between the marks. Make sure though that you follow this next step. You will need to make sure that you pull the line as tight as possible here. It is possible that the line will sag in the middle of the wall, and this will guard against that. You can go back over the chalk lines to make sure they are level by usinf the laser level again.

If it is not possible for you to obtain a laser level, you can use the four foot level as well. However, you need to really pay attention to the bubble in your level and be very accurate with the drawing of your level lines around the walls of your kitchen.

By measuring up thirty four and a half inches from the high point of the floor, you can start at that point and use the level to draw the lines. While you are using the level, I recommend that you have the help of someone else with the opposite ned of the four foot level.

After you have finished drawing the lines around the kitchen, flip the level end for end and reverse what you have just done. If you get to the beginning of the line and they match up, you know that your level is accurate. If you make it back to the opposite end of the kitchen and the lines are still mathced up, you will know for sure that the level is accurate. If the lines do not match up, your level is not accurate and you will need to obtain one that is.

By renting a laser level, you will not have to worry about your level not being accurate. Not only does it insure that yout level lines will be exact, but it will save you some time in the very beginning stages of the installation. Think of this step as the buildin of a foundation for a house. The entire process will be compromised if this step is not done correctly.
